Ok, so it has already been 30 days since I took up the Dunelm Blogger Sleep Challenge. To recap, Dunelm, sent me a new duvet cover, 4 memory foam pillows and a duvet topper, in the hopes that it would help me sleep better.
On the first night we both got into the bed and immediately noticed how amazingly comfortable the bed was with the mattress topper. It felt like a completely different bed. I would note, however, that adding a mattress topper can make you warmer in your sleep, although after a few days you do adjust to the new temperature.
The thing we really struggled with were the pillows, after a few nights of trying to get comfortable, we decided to only use two of the four pillows and that made things so much better.
I would say that after the 30 days I am definitely sleeping better, it took a few days to adjust to the changes, but I actually out slept Hubs a few times, which is almost unheard of! Unfortunately, it has also meant that I am finding it much harder to get out of bed in the morning, and has actually lead to me reading in bed more! At the moment I am deciding between re-reading Harry Potter, Tilthe or if I should start MadMan by old BHAFC Chairman, Dick Knight.
