I never really saw myself as a flowers sort of girl, but I cannot deny that recently I have grown to really love having flowers in the house. Usually I’ll buy some reduced ones from my local Tesco Express, to brighten up the lounge or the hallway – especially if we have guest coming over.
My darling Hubs is generally not naturally romantic and therefore I very rarely receive a bouquet of flowers, let alone have then delivered to the house. This beautiful bouquet of orange and red blooms were sent to me by Suttons Seeds, who have recently started offering a flower delivery service.
Suttons Seeds specialise in selling (shock horror) seeds for flowers, fruit and veg as well as general gardening supplies. They also have a comprehensive knowledge base filled with tips and instructional videos to help, both those blessed with green fingers and those of us who aren’t, to create a fabulous garden, vegetable patch or allotment.
The flowers arrived on next day delivery and were in great condition, what I was really please with is how long they lasted – they were in my lounge for at least a week before they started to wilt, which is a lot longer than I was expecting. I’m not really that ‘in the know’ when it comes to flowers so I won’t pretend that I can name them all, but I thought the colours were stunning and the combination of flowers and foliage really complimented each other.
I will note that I am not entirely sure that these flowers were actually from Suttons as they are not available on their site.
Are you a massive fan of flowere? What are your favourites? I’m a massive Peony fan ever since my wedding.
