It’s  time for Instagram to be flooded with wintery images covered saying “Hello December!”. A time, where even the most resistant have to admit it’s Christmas and allow themselves to have a bop to the Christmas songs on the radio.

Time to obsess about whether it will snow (unlikely in Brighton) and get carried away with all the Snowmeggedon articles and reports of bookie’s odds. The temperature has definitely plummeted this year. It’s colder here than it was in Prague while I was away this weekend. It’s time to think about snug winter coats.

The Teddy Bear Coat

I’m not the sort of person to buy a new Winter coat every year. I have a trusty parker, a long camel wool coat and a short wax jacket as my winter staples. But last year my mum got THE Max Mara Teddy Bear coat and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, the coat and my bank balance are mortal enemies.

But why let a little thing like price get in the way of style? I have been living in my Grey Teddy Bear coat from Simply Be. So many people have commented about how much they love it, and I love it because it keeps me incredibly warm. It’s perfect as a run around coat over jeans and trainers, yet elegant enough to dress up an evening look.

These pictures are from a visit to the cinema with Joe. We went to see Geostorm – I love disaster movies, especially the oldies like Volcano or Dantes Peak. As it was a fairly mild day I just teamed the coat with a Misfits T-shirt (yes, I do know who the Misfits are) my skinny jeans, my Movel Trainers and a small Micheal Kors hand bag.

I only took this coat to Prague and I could comfortable fit multiple layers under the top and stayed perfectly warm. Although I would say go up a size to make it comfortable and fit right.
