I was very kindly sent the Dolma Fragrances Women’s Discovery Set, which contains 1.8ml samples of all 12 of their beautiful Perfumes. They do also offer a Discovery Set for Men, so that you can sample the 4 Aftershaves/Colognes that they offer.
I can be quite fussy with my Perfumes, I find a lot of popular female fragrances are too sweet, or too popular, and I like to think as ones scent as a personal thing. I knew out of 12 samples, I was bound to find one that I liked. But, I was very surprised to actually like all 12. But Four of the fragrances really stood out to me, and all are very different.
Amethyst Mist by Dolma
Top Notes: Mandarin, Violet Leaf, Fresh Mint
Middle Notes: Ylang, Heliotrope blooms, Ginger
Base Notes: Precious Woods, Patchouli, Vetiver

The website describes the scent as being “profoundly calming”, like it’s namesake stone, Amethyst. I would have to say I agree. It’s the sort of scent you wear on a slow Sunday with your close friends or Family. Leaving you with a subtle but divine smell, not over powering but rememberable. This is by far my favourite.

Middle Notes: Jasmine, Lily, Rose Water
Base Notes: Sandalwood, Musk, Cedar
Contains Essential Oils: Cedarwood, Chamomile, Ginger, Sandalwood
Who doesn’t like a Musk? And as someone who is trying to use exclusively cruelty free products, knowing this is vegan is great. This fragrance is simple and beautiful, with soft notes of Jasmine and Lily, a hint of sandalwood, and honey. A great option for business meetings, as it’s not overpowering.
First Rain by Dolma
Top Notes: Mint Leaf, Orange Rind
Middle Notes: Jasmine, Galbanum, Patchouli
Base Notes: Cedar, Pine Fir, White Musk
Contains Essential Oils: Patchouli, Peppermint, Rosemary
Described as Earthy, grounding and connected, this fragrance has a mossy wood base, which I love. It really embodies my growing fascination with nature and spirituality, and gives me flashes of being barefoot in the woods in a light drizzle.
Sun Joy
Top Notes: Palm, Citrus Peel
Middle Notes: Rose, Freesia, Narcissus
Base Notes: Musk, Oak Moss, Amber
Contains Essential Oils: Lemon
Described as Warm, Sensual and Fun, this fragrance again surprised me. With Top Notes of Citrus, and Mid notes including Rose and Freesia, it’s not typically the sort of scent I’d go for. It’s the sort of fragrance you wear on a night out, both pleasant and unique.
